Updates

Are any MODC offices open right now?

Our offices are currently operating at 50% capacity. If essential personnel need to work in an office, they must schedule their time there, complete a COVID-19 screening before entering, and follow strict health and safety protocols while inside. Non-essential personnel will continue to work remotely as much as possible.

As always, our decisions are based on the best available medical, scientific, and public health guidance.

We appreciate your patience with this process. Please direct any concerns or questions to our Health and Safety team at healthandsafety@marchofdimes.ca.

What is the status of essential services?

As always, our frontline workers continue to provide essential care to our clients while rigorously following all public health guidelines to keep themselves, their communities, and their clients safe.

That includes being fully vaccinated, maintaining a safe physical distance when possible, and wearing full personal protective equipment while providing service.

Are non-essential programs and services still available?

Non-essential programs and services are cautiously, carefully moving back towards in-person delivery as it’s safe, with strict health and safety precautions in place. This may include combining in-person with online delivery. Details are available on marchofdimes.ca or modcemploymentservices.ca.

What’s the plan for resuming in-person services and returning to office work?

At the moment, we have opened our locations at 50% capacity with strict health and safety protocols in place.

Please be assured that we’re closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as things evolve. Our decisions are always, and will continue to be, informed by the latest, most reliable scientific, medical, and public health guidance.

When will offices re-open and full in-person services return?

We understand that everyone would like to know when things will get back to normal, but we simply don’t know. The situation is constantly evolving, and we need to respond accordingly.

At the moment, public health information tells us it’s safe to re-open our locations at 50% capacity with health and safety precautions like mandatory masking, physical distancing, and frequent handwashing in place.

We’ll continue to provide updates as things evolve.

We’ll also carefully monitor each re-opened site, and the surrounding communities, so we can adjust our plans as necessary. As always, we’ll proceed on the latest guidance from public health authorities.

Rest assured that we’ll provide adequate notice of office re-openings so that teams have adequate time to plan their transitions.

Will everyone at MODC eventually return to their office full-time?

We know that remote work has a place in our future as an organization, when it’s time to re-open offices, arrangements will be made by program staff and supervisors based on the specific situation. These will be informed by a variety of factors including the nature of each team member’s role and departmental requirements. Your manager or supervisor will let you know what the return to office work will look like for your team, and what you can expect in terms of office-based work.

Please feel free to reach out to your direct supervisor if you have any questions or concerns.
